Delegation continues touring Canton Fair
GUANGZHOU, China — Members of the trade delegations representing SMEs continue their tour for the second day at Canton Fair, which kicked off in Guangzhou city of China and lasts for five days. The Fair aims at exploring business opportunities, developing projects and increasing the trade exchange between the Sultanate and China. The members of the delegation met with their counterparts representing Chinese companies and factories. They explored with them the possibility for getting business ideas and opportunities that may be implemented in the Sultanate. They also discussed with them the possibility of getting agencies of Chinese products needed in the Omani markets.
The delegation sought to benefit from the Chinese experience in SMEs, the major technologies used and the latest developments made by the Chinese industries. Saif bin Humaid al Sa’adi, member of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Board of Directors in the South Al Batinah Governorate, said that the expo is a real opportunity for SMEs owners to meet with their Chinese counterparts. Sultan bin Ali al Hadhari, member of OCCI Board of Directors in the Dhofar Governorate, said that Canton Fair provides the opportunity for SMEs owners to familiarise with the developments made by the Chinese industry and benefit from their experience in developing SMEs.
On his turn, Ali bin Saleh al Ja’afari, member of the delegation praised the initiative promoted by OCCI, which organised these visits for owners for SMEs. “The visits will open wider horizons for owners of SMEs,” he said. Khalid al Abdul Salam, member of the delegation, said that the Canton Fair provides us with the opportunity to meet representatives of many Chinese companies under one roof, thus eliminating the need to visit many cities. — ONA
