How to get a Taxi in Guangzhou
There are about 20,000 taxis in Guangzhou. Passengers can stop a taxi by just waving his or her hand. This is the most popular way for foreigners to get around, and it is very affordable. Taxis are available from the main hotels 24 hours a day.
The starting charge is ¥10 for the first 2.5 kilometers. After that is ¥2.6 for each kilometer.It will cost you about 150 RMB from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to the city center and takes around 45 minutes. There are 5 colors of taxi in Guangzhou. They are red, yellow, blue, gold, and green. Different colors stand for different taxi companies. The different companies have the same price.
